Founder of Improvising on The Changes

I have been teaching World History, Music and Music History in high school, middle school and elementary for 8 years at Instituto Thomas Jefferson, an international school in Guadalajara, Mexico.

I was also involved since 2014 in the educational activities of Fundacion Tonica, as a member of the education committee, facilitator and teacher for the annual week-long workshop within the Jalisco Jazz Festival, with an all-star faculty godfathered by Brian Lynch that through the years featured artists such as John Beasley, Aaron Goldberg, Obed Calvaire, Matt Penman, Adam Rogers, Charlie Hunter, Miguel Zenon (to name a few) and a partnership with the Frost School of Music – University of Miami.

I have hosted and moderated monthly masterclasses for the series NY Jazz All-Stars in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, the University of Guadalara UDG. For three years I had the enormous privilege of working alongside incredible artists and world-class educators like George Garzone, John Clayton, Billy Hart, Taylor Eigsti, Clarence Penn, Kendrick Scott, Ulysses Owens Jr and many others.
